New TVs for cancer patients at York Hospital
29 MARCH 2024
Thanks to your donations, 18 brand new televisions have been funded for the Haematology/Oncology Ward (Ward 31) at York Hospital.
The new addition will greatly enhance the hospital experience for our patients undergoing prolonged cancer treatments.
Staying in the hospital for extended periods can be challenging, especially for patients undergoing intensive treatments like chemotherapy and radiation therapy. These new televisions provide a valuable source of entertainment and distraction, helping to alleviate the psychological stress associated with long hospital stays.
Feedback from our patients has been overwhelmingly positive. Many have expressed their gratitude, noting the significant difference these new TVs have made. One patient shared, “The picture is so much clearer on the new TVs, It’s a small comfort, but it means the world when you’re spending so much time in the hospital.”
This is just one of the many projects only made possible thanks to donations of our supporters.
