Tribune House bike store
9 JUNE 2026

At Tribune House, York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity has funded the creation of a new, secure bike store for staff. Previously, cycle storage at this location was publicly accessible, meaning staff could not always rely on having a safe space to store their bikes during the working day.
The new facility provides a secure area exclusively for staff, offering peace of mind and confidence for those choosing to cycle to work.
The Trust’s Cycle to Work scheme encourages staff to consider cycling as a healthier and more sustainable commuting option. By investing in improved cycling infrastructure, the Charity is helping to remove barriers and make it easier for staff to take part in the scheme.
Funding the bike store reflects the Charity’s commitment to supporting staff wellbeing and promoting positive lifestyle choices.
Dan Braidley, Travel and Partnerships Manager, said:
“The new bike store will provide staff with a safe location for the benefit of the staff enabling them to be able to bike to work, resulting in a healthier workforce as well as supporting wellbeing.”
