York Day Unit, Kitchen Accessories

York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity is proud to fund the enhancement of patient and staff areas across the hospitals it supports. The charity funded the purchase of new kitchen accessories for the Day Unit at York Hospital. This improvement aims to support the comfort and wellbeing of patients who visit the unit for outpatient procedures and treatments, as well as the staff who care for them.
Lisa Wright, Senior Sister, explained “We see up to 90 patients a day and last year we treated 32,000 patients. With an increasing number of patients using the facility, the existing kitchen accessories had started to show signs of wear and tear and were no longer meeting the needs of those who relied on them.
“The new accessories are wonderful, and the team are thrilled as it is a much better space for our patients and staff. They have really boosted morale for all who use the renovated space.”
