The NHS Fall Fundraiser
This autumn, we're inviting staff across York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to take part in The NHS Fall Fundraiser! 
Whether you're hosting a bake sale, organising a fundraiser with your team, taking part in our 'Decorate Your Door' competition, or coming up with something completely unique, every pound raised will help support patients, families and staff across our hospitals.

Why take part?
The NHS Fall Fundraiser is a chance to have fun with colleagues, boost team spirit and celebrate the autumn season, while making a difference to patients, families and staff across our hospitals.
You can choose to support your own ward or department, helping to fund projects and enhancements that improve the experience of patients and staff.
Alternatively, funds raised can support the Autumn Project, an initiative led by our specialist Palliative Care Team to create calm, welcoming spaces for patients receiving end of life care. We are currently fundraising for a cuddle bed at York Hospital. This specialist bed allows patients to lie side by side with their loved ones, creating precious moments of comfort, closeness and dignity when they matter most.
Fundraising ideas
Not sure where to start? Here are a few autumn-inspired ideas:
- Host an autumn bake sale on your ward or department
- Enter our 'Decorate Your Door' Competition and collect donations
- Hold a tea, coffee or hot chocolate morning
- Dress in autumn colours for the day and collect donations
- Organise a raffle or sweepstake
- Run a pie or pumpkin-themed competition
- Take on an autumn walk or step challenge with your colleagues
