York Inset Scooter Club raises over £5,800 for York Hospital’s Magnolia Centr
York Inset Scooter Club has raised an incredible £5,800 to support the Magnolia Centre at York Hospital, thanks to the group’s fundraising efforts since 2022.
The local club has been a dedicated supporter of the Magnolia Centre, raising money through a range of events, including the popular Mods and Rockers charity ride. The annual event sees hundreds of scooters and motorbikes come together for a charity ride through York, with participants donating in support of the local cause.
The money raised will help York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity make a difference to patients receiving cancer care at the Magnolia Centre, funding extras to enhance patient care and experience, above and beyond what NHS funding alone can provide.
Three members of the club recently made a special visit to the Magnolia Centre, where they met some of the dedicated care team and saw first-hand how their continued fundraising is helping to support the centre.
Becky White, Community Fundraiser at York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to everyone at York Inset Scooter Club for their continued support. To have raised over £5,800 since 2022 is an amazing achievement and shows just how much hard work they have put into supporting the Magnolia Centre. A huge thank you to the club and everyone who has attended events, donated or supported their fundraising over the years. Your generosity really does make a difference.”
