Charity Golf Day raises over £11,000 for Tiny Lives Appeal
18 SEPTEMBER 2026
York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity's annual Golf Day has raised an incredible £11,275 for the Tiny Lives Appeal, supporting the Neonatal Unit at York Hospital.
Golfers took part in a Texas Scramble four-ball competition at Sandburn Hall on Friday 7 August. The sell-out event welcomed 20 teams from businesses and supporters across the region for a day of friendly competition and fundraising.
York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity would like to thank headline sponsors Overbury and Greencore, as well as the event sponsors, tee sponsors, prize donors and participants whose generosity and support helped make the day such a success.
Funds raised from the event will support the Tiny Lives Appeal, funding additional equipment and furnishings for the Neonatal Unit at York Hospital. The appeal aims to create a calm, comforting and family-friendly space where babies and their families can receive care in the best possible environment.
Emma Feasby, Fundraising Manager at York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity, said:
"We're thrilled to have raised more than £11,000 through this year's Golf Day. The generosity shown by local businesses and everyone who took part was incredible, and we'd like to thank all those who supported the event through sponsorship, participation and prize donations.
The funds raised will make a real difference through the Tiny Lives Appeal, helping to enhance the Neonatal Unit at York Hospital. By creating a more comfortable and family-friendly environment, we can help ensure that babies and their families receive care in the best possible surroundings during a challenging time."
The winning team on the day was Trinxa, who took first place in a closely contested competition.
Following another successful year, the Charity is looking forward to building on the event's growing popularity and welcomes expressions of interest for future Golf Days.
