London Marathon 2026
19 MAY 2026

Three incredible runners have gone the distance for York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity, raising more than £12,000 for departments close to their hearts at Scarborough Hospital.
Brothers‑in‑law Joe and Jordan took on the iconic TCS London Marathon in support of the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU), where Joe’s daughters received exceptional care. Running alongside them was Gabe Fell, who completed the marathon in memory of his dad, David Fell, and to thank the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team for the outstanding care they provided to his sister, Scarlett.
Their collective fundraising will help enhance care and support for patients and families across both units, making a lasting difference for the local community.
Rachel Brook, Head of Charity at York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity, said: “Joe, Jordan and Gabe have achieved something remarkable. Their dedication, strength and personal motivation behind each step they took is inspiring, and we’re so grateful for the impact their fundraising will have for patients at Scarborough Hospital.”
The charity is now welcoming applications for the 2027 TCS London Marathon. To apply for a place, visit www.yshospitalscharity.org/marathon or email hello@yshospitalscharity.org.
