Runners take on the breezy conditions to raise money for York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity

A dedicated team of 11 runners recently tackled the Yorkshire Coast 10k, successfully navigating the breezy conditions to support a great cause.
Comprised of hospital staff and members of the public, the team's incredible effort raised just under £1,200 for York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity. This funding will be used to enhance staff well-being and patient care, supporting projects that elevate hospital environments and services beyond standard NHS provision.
Despite the wind, the event maintained a fantastic atmosphere, and many of the runners were thrilled to achieve personal bests on the day.
Natalie Marriott, Event Fundraiser, shared "The Yorkshire Coast 10k was brilliant local event for our runners to be involved in. Everyone did amazingly well, with many of our runners securing their personal bests for a 10k race. We are so grateful to everyone who took part and helped raised money for York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity and we look forward to returning to the event next year."
